Hewlett-Packard (HP) will collaborate with Microsoft to create a tablet computer that will be marketed for the business enterprise.
According to HP, Palm and despite having reportedly will use the operating system to create a tablet Slate WebOS but HP will use Microsoft's operating system for tablet enterprise segment.
"I think you'll see HP launched a Slate product line. What is clear, Microsoft for the Enterprise, and WebOS products," said HP's EVP Todd Bradley, as quoted by Yahoo News.
"The focus is on maintaining our partner, Microsoft, to create a tablet, a Slate, for business enterprise," said Bradley, who hopes the device will be launched at the end of the year.
This statement confirmed the rumors at a time when HP is not going to make a tablet with the base Windows operating system, along with the acquisition of Palm who has their own operating system called WebOS. Bradley also said that if until now the HP is still Microsoft's biggest customer.
Recently, the world's largest software company claims to have established agreements with many hardware manufacturers to make a tablet computer based on Windows 7. Some of them include HP, Lenovo, Asus, Dell, Samsung, Toshiba, and Sony.
