One of the many features of Google's most popular, Gmail Voice and Video Chat is now available for Linux.

"Gmail Voice and Video Chat will also be available on Ubuntu, Debian and other Linux-based programs," said Tristan Schmelcher from the Google party, as quoted from Mashable.

Justin Uberti of Google's Realtime Communications says that in order to add this feature on a Linux system is extremely difficult. According to them, this release requires significant progress to develop it.

"We put everything in order to complete the feature with some extra, just like in Windows and Mac versions. Now we're all excited because Google Voice and Video Chat already exist in all types of computer systems (Windows, Mac and Linux)," said Uberti.

Release is certainly a good news because Google takes time for two years for one of its products are available for Linux.

"Now we're all just waiting for Google Voice and Video Chat is available for Google Android," he said.
