Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang imagine in the future their processor series named Tegra mobile version will encourage high performance in order to create a GPU that supports the computing cloud.
"I am very enthusiastic with parallel computing for mobile devices that we carry. As of this moment which is the most energy efficient as we know," said Huang in a speech at the main conference GPU in San Jose, California, United States.
"Of course the question is what will the industry do with these advanced capabilities. At this time, mobile applications by utilizing the potential power of parallel computers is nascent and is still in development," he added, as reported by TG Daily, Wednesday (22 / 9 / 2010).
In the next few years, Huang believes will see several programs associated with cloud computing, audio, video, image and signal processing utilizing the power of Cloud.
"Clearly this is a sign of the emergence of a device called superphones. Does this mean that the more developed the mobile space is ambiguous, with many high-end smartphones and a variety of entry-level devices," he said
"But obviously, PC enthusiasts have embraced the mobile world, with a capable phone such as high-end PC. We believe that the next computer revolution will be people whom mobile. We are very enthusiastic down there and enthusiastic about the idea of Tegra in your hand and Tesla in the Clouds," he said .
Huang added that the Tegra 2 only 'beginning' of Nvidia's invasion into the lucrative mobile realm.
"Tegra 2 only our first entry, Tegra 3 is almost finished, while the Tegra 4 is currently being designed. In the future, we plan to release a new Tegra processors every year," he said.
