Computer viruses Stuxnet reportedly rampant in Iran. However there has been no serious damage that occurred in Ahmadinejad’s countries.
"30 000 IP addresses in Iran Stuxnet infection has been detected", said the head of the ICT Department of Industry of Iran, Mahmoud Liayi, as reported by AFP on Monday (9/27/2010).
Added Minister of Telecommunication of Iran, Reza Taqipour, the virus can not spread or cause serious damage to the system of government.
"There has been no serious damage in our system, both industry and government. Our team of experts is working to stop the virus," he explained.
By its inventor, computer expert from Germany, Ralph Langner, software trusted made for specifically to search and download the sabotage dangerous facilities, such as Iran's nuclear facilities. Later, the software that is made with a specific coding system and can be taken only with a USB stick is able to recognize hazardous facilities to then destroy it automatically.
Langner own claim to have analyzed Stuxnet since the device was discovered last June. According to Langner, the code contained in Stuxnet have traces of technology from the control system is the target. Once the device finds the targeted system so it will perform blasting action automatically.
Stuxnet itself is actually designed for control system monitoring and data acquisition of Siemens, or known as SCADA. These systems are typically used to manage and supervise the water supply, oil drilling, power plants and other industrial facilities.
