Opera Software has finally officially released the Opera Mobile 10.1 beta for Android, this effort was made to take part in the battle of the browser on Android-based smartphone.
The software can be downloaded from the Android Market and will be available for download on the Opera site. This browser tool will work on Android version 1.6 or above, and available in 18 different languages.
The company is hoping the speed and ease of use will help distinguish it from competitors, which include the Mozilla Firefox 4, the browser Skyfire, Browser Dolphin HD and Android standard browser.
Opera Mobile boasts faster loading pages than other browsers, assisted by the features of Turbo, which compresses the data, tighter. This feature is very useful on a slow connection or solid. Future versions of this browsers will also use hardware acceleration to speed up panning and zooming on the website.
Quoted by PC World, other features in this browser is the Opera Speed Dial, password manager, and Link, synchronize bookmarks and other user data between mobile phones and computers. Speed Dial feature set nine favorite sites at the thumbnail grid, one for each site.
Opera Mobile 10.1 for Android will also take advantage of the touchscreens. The browser comes with a new pinch zoom feature, which will zoom the text of the pages to the desired width with a focus on a single motion.
Interestingly, the browser will support Flash. But It will not work in beta release, but will be included in the final version.
