Apple opens the 17-inch MacBook Pro with the 8-hour battery

Presenting at the Macworld Expo on Tuesday, Apple unveiled a new 17-inch MacBook Pro, featuring the precision and durable aluminum body unibody and built a revolutionary new battery that provides up to eight hours of use and up to 1000 recharges more than three times longer than conventional batteries of laptop.

"We have developed a new battery technology that is best for the user, and better for the environment," said Apple chief executive Steve Dzhobs. "Apple advanced chemistry and innovative technology to deliver up to eight hours of use on a full cycle of charge, and up to 1000 recharges."

Apple said that the most advanced chemistry, intelligent monitoring system, and battery charging and adaptive technologies to create a revolutionary new laptop battery that provides up to eight hours of wireless productivity of one charge, and up to 1000 recharges without increasing the thickness, weight or value to the MacBook Pro in design. The longer lifetime is less depleted batteries and less waste, that it is better for the environment, the company said.

The new 17-inch MacBook Pro includes the ultra-thin, glossy widescreen 1920 x 1200 display with 78 percent more pixels than the 15-inch MacBook Pro and 60 percent more range of colors, which provides a table of colors in a notebook. LED-backlit display is a moment of performance, took 30 percent less power and eliminates the mercury found in industry standard fluorescent tube backlights.

Measuring just 0.98-inch thin and weighing 6.6 pounds, Apple said 17-inch MacBook Pro is the world's thin and lightweight 17-inch notebook. In addition, the most powerful laptop Mac even with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors are available up to 2.93 GHz, up to 8GB of memory DDR3 and graphics architecture that allows users to switch between the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics processor for better battery life and the powerful NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics processor for high performance.


The new 17-inch MacBook Pro also includes a 320GB 5400 RPM hard drive with a standard 320GB 7200 RPM hard drive and 128 GB and 256 GB solid state drives as an option. As with the rest of the new MacBook family, 17-inch MacBook Pro includes a next generation, industry-standard Mini DisplayPort to connect with the new Apple LED Cinema Display with the image of 24-inch LED-backlit widescreen display with a built-in video camera iSight, microphone and columns.

Apple also noted that the new 17-inch MacBook Pro combines aluminum MacBook unibody families to develop new standards for environmentally friendly notebooks from each model achieve EPEAT Gold status.

Each MacBook unibody shell is made of aluminum processing high and comes with a standard energy-efficient LED-backlit display, which, without the use of mercury and arsenic-free glass. The new MacBook family meets stringent Energy Star 4.0 requirements, contains no brominated flame retardants and uses internal cables and components that are PVC-free. The battery in the new 17-inch MacBook Pro offers additional environmental benefits because it extended the term means less depleted battery resulting in less waste. Depleted batteries can be replaced for $ 179, which includes installation and disposal of old batteries in an environmentally responsible manner.

The new 17-inch MacBook Pro will be shipping in late January, and will be available through the Apple Store, Apple in the Apple retail stores and authorized dealer for the suggested retail price of $ 2799 (U.S.), and includes:
