123 Million American People Read Newspapers on the Internet

New York Times occupies a top position with a total of more than 32 million visitors.

Interest in reading the news the U.S. public through online media is very high. In May alone, more than 123 million Americans visit a newspaper via the Internet.

According to the latest report from comScore, which was written mediapost.com, July 7, 2010, that number is equivalent to 57 percent of the total U.S. Internet visitors numbering 215 million people.

Of that amount, the New York Times topped with the number of visitors more than 32 million visitors and 719 million pages that are read throughout the month. Each visitor read an average of 22 pages New York Times content.

The second position is occupied by the Tribune newspaper with the number of visitors to 24.8 million visitors. The third is held by Advance Internet with 18 million visitors, followed by USA Today with 16 million visitors.
