According to the FBI, as reported by the Straits Times, Thursday (7/29/2010), they had caught a Slovenian citizen who allegedly masterminded the attack is a botnet.
The attack made by a man who is still 23 years old were known to have caused approximately 12 million computers in the world infected with the virus.
The man with the alias name Iserdo was arrested in his own country, thanks to the help of local police after an investigation in a long time. Arrest occurred after a five-month Spanish police arrested scammers who operate botnets Mariposa.
Mariposa itself is a botnet that is used by hackers to steal sensitive data computer users, including credit card numbers and other banking information.
Own botnet is a network of infected computers. Mariposa botnet emerged since December 2008.
