Had alleged mastermind behind the making of virus Stuxnet sabotage, the United States directly analyze the virus. As a result, the U.S. did not find out who is behind or destination.

"One of our most difficult job (in analyze), this is the attribution and the intention. We have performed an analysis of the software itself," said Sean McGurk, Director of the National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC).

"It's very difficult to say 'This is what he intended to do,'" he said, as quoted by AFP on Monday (9/27/2010).

McGurk also said Stuxnet been found not only on facilities for power, but water or chemical treatment system that uses a specific Siemens systems.

"We have not seen any impact or effect of what was done. Including whether the virus is committing a crime," he added.

McGurk said he could not say who is behind the worm. "It would be premature to speculate at this time," he said.

"We're not looking where it came from, but trying to prevent the spread," he said.

McGurk added that Siemens has to reach their customer base to deal with infections that are considered an era of cyber war.
