Microsoft has confirmed his attitude to refuse to use Blu-ray format as a multimedia format as used by Sony and the PS3.
Microsoft always vehemently defended his decision do not to add Blu-ray drives that are expensive into Xbox 360 gaming console system. In fact, the Blu Ray format is believed capable of storing quality content equivalent with high-definition (HD).
"I think people might initially have been talking about the lack of Blu-ray drive in the Xbox. But now, they now realize how smart decision was to keep prices low, and actually Blu-ray will soon be abandoned," explained one of the Microsoft boss Xbox UK Stephen McGil.
"We offer quality content Full HD 1080p Blu-ray with direct streaming, no downloading, no delay. So, who need a Blu-ray again?" added.
This statement is obvious that Microsoft is not going to add Blu-ray functionality into the console. But Full HD 1080p streaming quality available for all console, because it is streaming become Microsoft’s alternative to leave a Blu Ray.
