Toshiba Warn Notebook T130 Overheating

Cases of overheating on the laptop back on common PC vendors, the problem this time happened to Toshiba.

Toshiba warned of the possibility of withdrawal of thousands of laptops because of fears of overheating T130 series issued by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

In addition to the T130 series notebook, some models that participated in the spotlight are T135 Satellite, Satellite Pro T135D, and satellite 130.

Although there has been no reports of problems in Toshiba laptops, but a Japanese company admitted that they had received many reports from users of its notebooks suffered excessive heat and damage the plastic casing around the AC adapter plug.

"Until now there is no serious injury reports but can generate temperatures hot enough to burn the dangers of the DC-In Jack or plug," said a spokesman for Toshiba, as Maximum PC reported on Friday (09/03/2010).

Owners of units affected by this are advised to update to the latest version of the BIOS either via the Toshiba Application Service Station that is installed on their computer or by downloading the appropriate version from Toshiba's official website.
